How to Create a WhatsApp Chatbot With Stickers?

The good news is WATI has just introduced the feature where you can get a WhatsApp chatbot with stickers now and can also be included in your favourite template messages so that customers can be engaged for a longer period of time.

So you can easily send stickers using WhatsApp’s Official APIs to send messages.

How to apply for WhatsApp Official APIs?

To apply for WhatsApp Official APIs, you must have the below details –

  1. WhatsApp Phone Number (Should not have a WhatsApp account, this number is non transferable)
    If you want to delete the WhatsApp account with your number, follow these steps.
  2. Business Display Name (Should have clear relationship with Business)

  3. Verified Facebook Business Manager ID (should be verified by uploading business documents)
    If you do not have a Facebook Business, please create by clicking here.
    To verify your Facebook Business, please follow these steps

Once you have these details, you must submit these details to a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP) such as WATI. To apply with WATI, you can apply using this link.

WhatsApp Chatbot With Stickers (Step by Step):

You can easily send stickers using WATI, and having the access of WATI’s Dashboard.

Step 1: Go to your WATI Dashboard and click on the ‘Automation’ tab.

Step 2: Click on ‘Reply Material’ tab under the WATI logo

Step 3: Click on Stickers!

Step 4: Click on Green Button which says ‘Add Sticker’

Step 5: Upload a (.webp) extension sticker, as WhatsApp Stickers are supported in .webp format.

Step 6: After uploading a sticker, Go to ‘Keyword Action’ and click ‘Add Keyword Action’

Step 7: Type in keyword(s) and choose from Exact Matching or Fuzzy Matching.

Just like in this example the keyword is ‘StickerTEST’ and Exact matching is selected.

Step 8: Click NEXT STEP, go to the stickers tab and choose the sticker you uploaded minutes ago.

You can also add stickers here when you are selecting what to choose from.

Step 9: Click SAVE and your sticker would successfully be sent by the chatbot when a user sends the triggered keyword.

You can do this for template messages too and also add more keywords to the selected sticker and also make your users more engaged now!
